Key phrases to look out for in the coming years from the Labour Party (this is uninformed and speculative based on following elections since 1992)

Future LabourTo prepare for the next election by keeping staff recruited in the voluntary sector on redundancy payments for the next five years that lose their jobs in the public sector.Less boom and bustAn apology from the Labour Party for wrongly saying that there will be no more boom and bust and that the stock market should be more than the FTSE 100 (say FTSE 250 or 500 to link in with engineering and construction sectors). To which there would be a pledge that to bring down governments of opposing political persuasions in other countries by speculating on the stock market is wrong (to be done by all political parties)
Comprehensive nuclear disarmamentDoes exactly what it says on the tin, no nukes by any country except the UN for shooting away asteroids and counter measures to terroists if Irans offer for nuclear fuel to be provided by other countries isn't taken seriously. UK press report today that teh Americans believe that Iran is approximately one year away from being able to develop a nuclear bomb.
Comprehensive Middle East PeaceSupporting any UK initiative in the next five years in support of the USA quartet peace plan being developed with face to face negotiations starting in September 2010.
Getting jobs in the voluntary sector and keeping professional fees paid for when economy in the public sector recovers or for working in the commonwealth is an option to consider as part of sustaining the big society and reducing tension in industrial relations in sectors that may see the biggest cuts in expenditure.
